About

This blog is for the present and past students of the ELT Department at Uludag University. Yet, we hope that anyone with an interest in learning and teaching English might find it relevant and useful. The blog is entirely in English. Its content is created mainly by the students and to a lesser extent by the academic staff in the department. However, any other contribution is more than welcome.

The aims of the blog are twofold. On the one hand, we hope to contribute to the improvement of our students’ proficiency in the English language. We believe that writing in this blog will provide them with an authentic and motivating reason to use English. Also, we hope that its content will direct the followers to other reading and listening material in English.

The second aim of the blog is to contribute to the professional development of our students as English language teachers during their time in the department and throughout their professional lives. We hope that this blog will be a platform for sharing our work and experience as well as being a forum for discussing questions and problems about teaching English. We believe it to be very important to have a healthy regular dialogue among English language teachers and we hope this blog will maintain a dialogue of this sort among our students.

If you would like to contribute to this blog as a writer, send us an e-mail at uludageltstudent@gmail.com. Include your full name and year of study or graduation.
